BirdieFriends

BirdieFriends started as a simple fix — organizing a group of players who love golf but hate the group text chaos of "who's in Saturday?" What began as a weekend signup form grew into a full app managing rounds, special events, and the BF Championship Series. It's become an active community of golfers who just want to show up and play.

The app handles the rest — so you can tee off and play great.

🏁 Close Round & Publish Results

Opens BFE-Admin in Gameday Mode — same Close Round / Publish Results buttons as Full Admin (nothing duplicated, it's the same page), just those two steps on a phone-sized screen with the event already loaded. Full Admin is still there for Setup, Groupings, or anything else.

⛳ Close Round & Publish →

⛳ Live Panel Event Control

A round's Live Panel now opens itself automatically — 15 min before tee time — and closes itself once every expected scorecard is in (checked every 90 sec), or 8 hrs after tee time as a fallback if a scorecard never lands. Start Live Now forces it open early (for more than 15 min out). Close Event stops whatever's live right now, however it went live — the auto window or a forced start — good for wrapping a round early, but it keeps that round off the Live Panel for good. Reset to automatic clears every override: forced start, Live Test Mode and any manual stop. Nothing is closed or calculated, and each round opens itself again at its own tee time.

⚪ Not live

🏆 Trip Memories Capture

The commissioner on/off switch for WCRP Trip Memories (photos/videos/notes) — same memoriesCaptureOpen field BFE-Admin's Setup screen sets, just reachable from your phone. Affects the whole trip (all rounds), not one round at a time.

Live Scorecard Test Mode

Forces the live banner to appear regardless of tee time — the next upcoming eligible event by default, or a specific round via the picker below. Do not leave on in production.

Which round is "live" — walk each round of a multi-round trip one at a time (e.g. Rd1 → Rd2 → 2Man → Rd3) instead of only ever the next upcoming one. Device-only, doesn't affect other testers.
